Are there any costs associated with paying with iDEAL?
All customers can pay free of charge with iDEAL at Gereedschapland.nl.

I have made a payment, how can I be sure that I have paid?
After every payment with iDEAL you will see a confirmation that you can print or e-mail. You will also find your payment with iDEAL afterwards in your account statement.

Can I reverse an iDEAL payment?
A payment with iDEAL, just like a payment via Internet banking, is irrevocable after execution and cannot be reversed.

Is there a (iDEAL) failure?
Currence, owner of iDEAL, has its own website with the availability or malfunction (s) of the consumer banks.

My package is damaged. What should I do?
As the sender, we are responsible for the correct packaging of the goods. If a package is damaged on the outside, eg an opening in the box, you can refuse the receipt of the package. GLS then returns the package to the depot and informs us. If you receive an apparently intact package to discover later that the content has been damaged, you must contact us for your complaint. GLS cannot and must not check the contents of packages. The privacy legislation for mail shipments also applies to GLS.

When will my package be delivered?
In the Netherlands and Belgium, packages are generally delivered within 24 hours. In Europe, the standard delivery time is generally between 24 and 96 hours. GLS delivers from Monday to Friday during normal working hours. With the tracking function of GLS (Track & Trace) you can call up the expected delivery time.

How can I find out where my package is?
With the online package tracking function (Track & Trace) you can check the status of your package at any time. Because GLS works with distribution centers, you can sometimes have the impression that the delivery route of your package is not always direct. To check the status of your package, simply enter the package number or the Track ID. You will receive the Track & Trace data via e-mail after we have sent it.

I expect a very heavy or large freight shipment. Can I make an appointment with GLS before delivery?
GLS knows when an appointment is necessary and will contact you to determine a time of delivery, even if we, as the sender, have not given an order for this.

What happens to my delivery if I am not at home?
First of all, the GLS driver will try to have your delivery received by a neighbor (with signature). If your package cannot be delivered to a neighbor, GLS will leave a message of offer and deliver the package to the nearest GLS depot. In any case, the driver always leaves a message of offer for the recipient. If you are not at home with a second offer, the package will be returned to us as the sender after a retention period of nine working days.

I don't come home often. How can I best receive my package?
If the shipment order is entered online, an alternative delivery address can be specified, for example, the address of the employer (with his permission). You can also grant a power of attorney to GLS, i.e. a delivery without a signature being required for receipt. The GLS driver can leave the package at a location of your choice at your address.

Can GLS deliver my package to a neighbor?
Yes. If you are not at home, the driver can try to deliver your package to a neighbor. Your neighbor will of course have to sign for the receipt. The GLS driver will leave you a message of offer with the necessary information

Can GLS deliver my package to a ParcelShop where I can pick it up?
Yes. After the first delivery attempt you can have your package redirected to a GLS ParcelShop. You then have nine working days to collect it from the ParcelShop. Note: You need a valid identity card or passport for collection.

Can another person pick up my package in the ParcelShop?
Yes. Hand this person or a written proxy with the following information: your name and address and the name and address of the person who will collect your package. You can also use the proxy slip on the offer notice. The proxy brings the proxy and a valid identity card or passport to the GLS ParcelShop.

Can I grant GLS permission to deliver a package to a specific location?
Yes. You can instruct GLS to leave a package at a specific location, for example a garage. Download the power of attorney (delivery without signature) as a PDF, print it, fill it in and send it to your GLS depot
